MACEDONIA IS HELLENIC and it will always be! History has been written. The Hellenistic period of history is the period that followed the the conquests of Alexander the Great and it is during this period that Greek culture is spread in the non-Greek world after Alexander’s conquests.

We are Macedonians, legitimate descendants of Phillip and Alexander of Macedonia [to name a few] and we are NOT RELATED to the Slavic people who associate themselves with the FYROM [Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia] who call themselves “Macedonians” and use our heritage and our glorious ancestors as their own.

THIS IS AN UNJUSTIFIED VIOLATION OF OUR RIGHTS AND OUR IDENTITY.

People from FYROM don’t steal our heritage and leave our famous Kings Philip and Alexander alone. Please stop erecting “Vegas-style” statutes of them or naming your national airports, stadiums and highways after them.

STOP YOUR FALSE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN!!! Go get your true ancestors the Paeonians to honor. Why such disrespect? Why associate yourselves with something that is:

Not your blood?

Not your birthright?

In antiquity, most of what is called FYROM was inhabited by different tribes such as the Paeonians, Thracians, Molossians and Illyrians and your country was named, Paeonia. Its right there very clearly on the maps of antiquity, right above Greek Macedonia. How can you miss that?

In 356 BC King Philip of Macedonia, a kingdom within Greek Macedonia, absorbed all of the tribes, your legitimate ancestors,into his Macedonian Kingdom. Stop claiming your former conquerors as your ancestors just because there is great prestige associated with their names and start honoring your true ancestors.

STOP REFORMING HISTORY TO SUIT YOUR COUNTRY’S BRANDING.

Your desire is understandable. Who does not want to associate themselves with Macedonia and eternal glory! Stop using the divine images of Alexander and Philip as your branding material. STOP!

You don’t steal glory! You don’t steal the Son of Zeus, Aristotle-educated, Illiad-loving, descendant of Hercules and Achilles, Alexander the Great and his GLORIOUS image and associate it with the BRANDING of your newly developed country. You don’t do that. You don’t steal other people’s ancestors!

For your information here is a historical FACT: you were just conquered by the ancient Macedonians. They were not your ancestors, they were your conquerors. They did not only conquered your territory, they conquered the entire known world at the time. It is called THE MACEDONIAN EMPIRE.

The Ancient Macedonians, our great ancestors, were of Dorian descent. The Dorians along with the Ionians were two of the most politically important ethnic groups in Ancient Greece. They migrated from Argos, southern Greece, to northern Greece in about 700 BC, where they started the Argead Dynasty which eventually became the Macedonian Empire. They settled and created cities such as Pella where the legendary King Alexander was born, and Vergina, were the Royal burial place of the Macedonian Kings exists. The fact that they eventually conquered the entire world with the leadership of our Kings Philip II of Macedonia and his son Alexander the Great of Macedonia, including your bordering territory, does not make you Macedonians. Please get your history facts right. Yes, your territory was called Macedonia under Macedonian occupation, but, so was the entire known world.

Let it go!

We are proud of our legitimate and honorable Dorian-descended Macedonian ancestors and their noble intentions of spreading civilization and unifying the entire world. We are inspired by them. We worship them. We feel blessed with our God-given heritage, our birthright and our divine motherland Macedonia, HELLENIC MACEDONIA, the birthplace of Gods, legends and heroes! OUR HEROES! NOT yours! Although we have inherited so many gifts from our divine ancestors, and we are sharing with the world, we are NOT sharing them.

MACEDONIA, THE SUN OF VERGINA AND THE IMAGES OF OUR GLORIOUS AND DIVINE ANCESTORS ARE NOT BRANDING MATERIAL FOR ANYONE TO STEAL.

We are NOT allowing your unjustifiable and daring modification of their origins or authenticity to assist you with the FALSE, YET ADVANTAGEOUS to you BRANDING of your newly developed country and your confused sense of belonging. This is not our ego talking - it’s documented history.

Our name and our history is our treasure, and we are truly humbled and blessed by the privilege. We have inherited a HUGE LEGACY to which we intend to continue. We are not claiming to better than you or anyone else. We just want the truth to prevail - and it will. Following Alexander’s principles we are not concerned with the the descendance of people or their racial origins. We classify them using one criterion: their virtue.
